Chicken Jerky recipe

I have to share this recipe because it could totally change the way you pack your food! 

Chicken jerky

1 or 1.5 pounds of chicken (thin 1/4 inch slices)
Marinade: 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce, garlic powder, ginger, pepper, stevia (optional if you like sweetness), etc. 

Throw all ingredients in a gallon ziplock bag, let sit for an hour or so. Preheat oven to 200F. Line a pan in foil and put a metal rack over that. Be sure to spray the rack with non-stick spray or oil it lightly! Lay out chicken- they can slightly overlap. Bake for 4-7 hours. Keep an eye on it because mine cooked/dried very fast. 


This is such an easy recipe. While there is zero fat, the chicken remains pretty tender/juicy for being jerky. It's perfect for school, roadtrips, gym, hiking, etc. where you might not be able to keep a cooler! Also, each ounce packs about 11-13g of protein! :)
